Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
Both instances demonstrate strong performance, but they excel in different areas due to their varying configurations. The DigitalOcean Premium AMD (1 GB) instance offers excellent performance for Redis operations, with high request rates and low latencies, but it shows slightly weaker results in CPU and MySQL benchmarks. The Linode instance, with its AMD EPYC 7713 64-Core Processor, shines in CPU operations, offering much higher throughput and lower latencies compared to DigitalOcean's single CPU. Linode also performs better in MySQL benchmarks, handling bulk inserts, updates, and complex queries efficiently. Overall, DigitalOcean is ideal for applications requiring high Redis performance within a smaller memory footprint, while Linode is better suited for CPU-intensive and memory-demanding workloads that benefit from its superior multi-core processing capabilities.
