DigitalOcean Premium AMD (8 GB, 4 Cores) vs. Vultr Cloud Compute (1 GB)
New day, new benchmarks. Today I've spun up brand new instance from DigitalOcean and Vultr and did some benchmarking. All instances were spun up with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS x64 and were created in the New York area (or close to it). Enough talk. Here's the data.

Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
When comparing the benchmarks for the DigitalOcean Premium AMD instance and the Vultr Cloud Compute instance, it's clear that the DigitalOcean instance significantly outperforms the Vultr instance in terms of both computational power and I/O performance. The DigitalOcean instance, with 4 CPU cores and 8 GB of RAM, demonstrates superior Redis performance, including higher requests per second (rps) and lower latency across a variety of operations. Additionally, the DigitalOcean instance shows better CPU, file I/O, and memory performance, with lower latencies and higher throughput rates. For tasks that demand higher CPU and memory utilization, such as large-scale data processing or high-concurrency applications, the DigitalOcean instance would be the preferable choice. In contrast, the Vultr instance, with just 1 CPU core and 1 GB of RAM, is more suited for simpler, lower-demand applications where cost is a primary concern over performance.
