Linode Linode (4 GB) vs. Vultr High Frequency Intel (2 GB)
New day, new benchmarks. Today I've spun up some brand new instance from Linode and Vultr and ran some benchmarks. Each instance was running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS x64 and all resided in or around the New York / New Jersey area. Without further ado, here's the results.

Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
After analyzing the benchmark results for both the Linode and Vultr instances, it's evident that Vultr's High Frequency Intel (2 GB) instance outperforms the Linode (4 GB) in many metrics due to its higher raw performance scores, particularly in Redis commands, where it consistently shows higher request per second (rps) rates and lower latencies. However, Linode's instance excels in handling complex memory operations, exhibiting near-zero average latency in memory read and write operations and showing superior thread fairness. Additionally, Linode's AMD EPYC 7713 processor provides better CPU performance in terms of events per second and thread fairness. Consequently, if raw throughput and lower latency in high-frequency tasks are paramount, the Vultr instance is more suitable, while Linode's instance would be preferable for workloads emphasizing memory operations and CPU-intensive tasks with low latency requirements.
