What the providers shipped

July's offerings from our VPS providers had all the freshness of a stale bread loaf. DigitalOcean finally got around to adding pgvector support to PostgreSQL clusters, probably because they can't ignore trendy extensions anymore, and expanded Spaces to Bangalore, where the traffic might not match the hype but at least they're everywhere. Linode served up a slightly outdated Kubernetes Engine update to LKE users who desperately need new versions every few months, and UpCloud beta-released their "hub" dashboard — good luck figuring that out. None of these changes seem tailored to the everyday concerns of developers, unless you're the one who enjoys paying attention to billing policy changes or obsessing over the latest Kubernetes versions.
