Vultr High Performance AMD (1 GB) vs. Vultr High Performance AMD (2 GB, 2 Cores)
Welcome to another round of the VPS Showdown. Today I've spun up some brand new instance from Vultr to run some benchmarks on. All instances were running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS x64 and were created in or around the New York / New Jersey area. Without further ado, here's the results.

Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
The Vultr High Performance AMD (1 GB, 1 Core) instance demonstrates strong performance with high throughput and low latency in Redis benchmarks, especially for simple operations like PING_INLINE, GET, and SET, but shows a decrease in performance with more complex tasks like LRANGE operations. The Vultr High Performance AMD (2 GB, 2 Cores) instance, while also excelling in Redis benchmarks with even higher RPS and lower average latencies, particularly benefits multi-threaded operations and larger datasets due to its additional CPU core and more RAM. The 2 GB instance also handles file I/O and memory operations more efficiently with higher throughput rates. Overall, the 1 GB instance is ideal for workloads that require quick, single-threaded responses, while the 2 GB instance is better suited for more complex, multi-threaded tasks and applications that benefit from higher memory capacity and processing power.
