Conclusion

From the friendly robots:

The Vultr High Performance Intel instance demonstrates slightly better performance in single-core scenarios but has comparable performance in memory and file I/O benchmarks. The Vultr High Performance AMD instance excels in multi-threaded operations, showing significantly higher rates in Redis operations and multi-threaded CPU benchmarks. The Intel instance is better suited for workloads that benefit from single-core CPU performance and lower latency for memory operations, while the AMD instance is ideal for applications that require higher throughput in multi-threaded tasks, including Redis operations, database inserts, and general multi-threaded workloads. Both instances have similar storage and transfer options, with the AMD instance providing a slight edge in CPU benchmarks due to its dual-core configuration.
