What the providers shipped

March 2023 brought a smidge of much-needed variety with DigitalOcean finally diving into the URL redirection pool, letting developers do path remapping and all that jazz (though when did anyone need this at the App Platform level?). Meanwhile, UpCloud pushed the envelope with a public beta for Managed Kubernetes, which sounds like the next best thing since sliced bread for those tired of DIY Kubernetes clusters. But here's the kicker: DigitalOcean's timing still lags (surprise, surprise), and UpCloud's Kubernetes beta is still a beta, so no one's rushing to swap out their stable 1.34 setups just yet. Oh, and if anyone's still picking out GPU plans at Vultr's $5 tier, well, they've got some time to kill.

DigitalOcean
