What the providers shipped
February brought another round of feature drops that left developers pondering the value of their VPS choices. DigitalOcean rolled out Premium Intel CPU-Optimized plans for Droplets, aimed at those crunching numbers in clusters, while also boosting Spaces to an 800 ops/sec request rate limit for new buckets, though their per-second billing is a bit of a late bloomer. Meanwhile, UpCloud has finally released a NAT Gateway, giving servers without dedicated public IPs a reliable outbound internet access, a feature that's been more of a "when will they just get it" situation than anything revolutionary. It's like watching paint dry in slow motion, but at least now the paint can actually reach the wall without getting stuck.
