What the providers shipped

In September, Linode kept the Kubernetes crowd cozy with LKE v1.54.0 and an overdue v1.53.0 update, but the real surprise was UpCloud's beta Cluster Autoscaler that automatically adjusts node groups like some kind of on-demand minion. DigitalOcean moved ahead with deprecations of some MySQL/PostgreSQL plans (finally getting around to it), but what really caught the eye was their new extra storage option. Meanwhile, Linode's decision to add a Google Trust CA to the App Platform is a small but welcome move for security-conscious developers, though some might wonder why it took so long.
