What the providers shipped
In September 2025, DigitalOcean quietly added a VPC internal DNS resolver on the second-to-last IP, raised the Container Registry image size limit to 20 GB, and generally available both Flexible node pools and the Gateway API — all without a peep about the long-overdue App Platform VPC support. Meanwhile, Linode launched a beta for VPC integration with Managed Databases, an LKE update, and a new premium tier to justify the cost of their Managed Database services, while UpCloud debuted a secure API token authentication system, and made Kubernetes v1.32 available. Vultr rounded out the month with EOLing PostgreSQL 13, adding API keys with expiration dates, and introducing Debian 13 'Trixie' with Linux 6.12 LTS and KDE Plasma 6. If you're still hung up on GPU plans at the $5 tier, though, perhaps you should have stayed in bed (Vultr).
