What the providers shipped
In December 2025, DigitalOcean shuffled out another bunch of admin features: a preview of better document chunking, a new spend report, and an experimental Agent Development Kit, alongside the usual crypto wallet support and cold storage ramp-up. Linode staggered out with its usual collection of limited availability services, including cloud logs and metrics, and launched new G8 dedicated compute plans. UpCloud added a Copenhagen data center to its Nordic lineup and continued its Kubernetes 1.33 rollout. Vultr, in a rare moment of financial transparency, improved its invoice credit and prepayment visibility, showing just how much it trusts its customers to manage their own credits. For developers, the key takeaway remains the glacial pace of essential cloud services, and the perennially baffling choice of GPU plans at every price point.
