What the providers shipped

DigitalOcean's February update is predictably a sprawling mishmash, including the long-overdue deprecation of Ubuntu 25.04 and the arrival of AMD MI350X GPUs for those gluttons for the $5 GPU-tier overkill. There's also the obligatory smattering of runtime updates across Functions and the new Rust buildpack on the App Platform. Meanwhile, Linode continues to indulge its high-end GPU fantasies with an RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition, while upcloud just dropped File Storage over NFS because apparently shared multi-server access was just waiting for someone to make it official. Vultr is doing Vultr things, like deprecating their -sc1 plans and introducing a host of new images and APIs, but the real kicker is the new Object Storage E3 endpoints in Frankfurt. All in all, the market's still as crowded as ever with just about everything and the kitchen sink.
