DigitalOcean's new DOKS Isolated Worker Nodes bring an underappreciated tweak: they run without public IPv4 addresses, a nod to security-conscious developers who've been crying out for it for ages. Meanwhile, Linode continues its slow crawl with another IPv4 reserved address, and Vultr keeps rolling out GPU plans that only look impressive until you check the $5 price tag and realize it's more of a tech collector's item than a viable option. Oh, and UpCloud added a new region in Stavanger, but let's be real: Kubernetes 1.34 is great, but when's the last time anyone outside a select few really cared about regional compute storage?
