DigitalOcean Premium AMD (2 GB) vs. Vultr High Performance Intel (2 GB)
Fresh benchmarks coming at ya. Today I spun up fresh instances from DigitalOcean and Vultr to run some benchmarks on. Each instance was running Ubuntu 26.04 LTS x64 and were created in or around the New York / New Jersey area. Let's get into the numbers.

Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
The DigitalOcean Premium AMD instance outperforms the Vultr High Performance Intel instance in the majority of benchmarks, particularly in Redis operations with higher request per second rates and lower latencies, such as the "PING_INLINE" command achieving 71,225 RPS compared to Vultr's 44,563 RPS. File I/O also shows superior performance with DigitalOcean delivering higher throughput rates and lower latencies, with read and write operations per second at 2012.74 and 1341.83 respectively, compared to Vultr's 5577.48 and 3718.32. This suggests the DigitalOcean instance is better suited for CPU-intensive and I/O-demanding tasks, making it ideal for applications requiring high throughput and low latency.
