Conclusion

The Vultr Cloud Compute (2 GB) instance outperforms the DigitalOcean Regular (2 GB) instance across most benchmarks, particularly in Redis SET operations with 52,192.07 requests per second compared to DigitalOcean's 40,112.31, and in MySQL bulk insert transactions with 186,460.11 transactions per second versus DigitalOcean's 82,488.07. For users needing high throughput for I/O-intensive or CPU-bound tasks, Vultr offers superior performance, making it the better choice for demanding applications.
