What the providers shipped
DigitalOcean tinkered with their load balancer, allowing a configurable HTTP idle timeout up to 600 seconds—nothing that'll overhaul your architecture, but a small tweak that could keep your costs down. Meanwhile, Linode quietly added Kubernetes 1.21 and expanded to another region, Singapore, which, while a step forward, is still playing catch-up on some fronts. Vultr, predictably, continued to hype their GPU plans that nobody on a budget will ever touch, proving again that for many developers, the lure of compute power is more a siren song than a practical option. (finally, a feature that matters to some).
