What the providers shipped
March 2024 saw DigitalOcean fine-tuning its DOKS with synchronous validation of LoadBalancer service annotations, a small but appreciated tweak. Meanwhile, Linode was busy with its usual Kubernetes obsession, releasing three versions (v1.67.0, v1.66.0, and v1.65.0) in a month that'll likely confuse more than it enlightens. UpCloud, on the other hand, brought some real utility with network peering and managed load balancer support for private clouds, plus managed database connectivity and the availability of Kubernetes v1.28, which actually seems like news you might care about if you're not already buried in your cluster's version history. (Finally, something that doesn't have "v1.66.0" in its name.)
