Same showdown, different day. Today I spun up fresh instances from Vultr and ran some benchmarks. All instances were spun up with Ubuntu 26.04 LTS x64 and were created in the New York area (or close to it). Enough talk. Here's the data.

Conclusion

From the friendly robots:

The High Performance Intel (2 GB) instance from Vultr clearly outperforms the Cloud Compute (1 GB) in most benchmarks, especially in Redis operations where the higher instance achieves significantly higher requests per second, for example, 59916.12 RPS for PING_MBULK compared to 33704.08 RPS for the lower instance, and in CPU operations where it registers 999.67 events per second versus 763.23. This higher instance is ideal for CPU-intensive applications needing higher performance and more RAM, while the lower instance could suffice for less demanding tasks due to its lower cost.
