Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
The DigitalOcean Premium Intel (2 GB) instance outperforms the Vultr Cloud Compute (1 GB) in most benchmarks. For Redis operations, DigitalOcean's instance averages higher requests per second (rps) across various commands, like SET (61,087.36 vs 28,918.45 rps) and GET (72,568.94 vs 28,669.72 rps), as well as lower latencies. DigitalOcean also has superior CPU benchmark results, with more events per second (562.17 vs 704.3) and lower average CPU latency (1.78 ms vs 1.42 ms). For use-cases, DigitalOcean is ideal for CPU-heavy or memory-intensive tasks, offering more headroom at a slightly higher cost.
