Conclusion

From the friendly robots:

The DigitalOcean Premium Intel (2 GB) instance outperforms the Premium AMD (1 GB) instance across key benchmarks. With Redis achieving significantly higher requests per second (rps) and lower latency compared to the AMD instance, the Intel variant is notably faster in handling Redis commands such as GET and SET, posting an impressive 72,569 rps for GET against the AMD's 57,637. Additionally, the Intel instance's MySQL bulk insert transactions per second (tps) are more than double that of the AMD instance at 138,919 tps compared to 81,811. For applications demanding high throughput and low latency, especially for database operations, the Intel instance is the clear winner.
