UpCloud Balanced (1 GB) vs. Vultr High Frequency Intel (1 GB)
New day, new benchmarks. Today I've got brand new instances from UpCloud and Vultr and did some benchmarking. All instances were running Ubuntu 26.04 LTS x64 and were created in or around the New York / New Jersey area. Without further ado, here's the results.

Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
The UpCloud Balanced (1 GB) instance outperforms the Vultr High Frequency Intel (1 GB) in most benchmarks, particularly in Redis operations, where UpCloud registers higher request per second (rps) and lower latency metrics across most commands, such as a higher LPUSH rps of 60,024 versus Vultr's 53,050, and lower average latencies in most cases. UpCloud also demonstrates better CPU performance, averaging fewer CPU events per second but with significantly lower latencies. For applications requiring robust memory and I/O performance, UpCloud's results suggest it is the preferable option, despite Vultr offering a slightly lower price.
