Fresh benchmarks coming at ya. Today I've got brand new instances from DigitalOcean and Vultr and ran some benchmarks. All instances were running Ubuntu 26.04 LTS x64 and were created in or around the New York / New Jersey area. Let's get into the numbers.

Conclusion

From the friendly robots:

The Vultr High Frequency Intel (1 GB) instance outperforms the DigitalOcean Regular (1 GB) in most benchmarks, especially in CPU-intensive tasks, where it records higher events per second (1438.92 vs 843.27) and significantly higher Redis performance metrics, such as the ability to handle more requests per second for operations like PING_INLINE (54259.36 vs 32051.28). For use cases emphasizing high CPU throughput and Redis performance, Vultr's instance is clearly superior, while DigitalOcean's might be preferable for scenarios requiring more moderate CPU and memory operations.
