Conclusion

From the friendly robots:

The Vultr High Performance AMD instance edges out the High Performance Intel instance in overall performance based on the provided benchmarks. The AMD instance demonstrates superior Redis benchmark scores, with notably higher request per second (rps) metrics such as 48146.37 for PING_INLINE compared to 45998.16 for the Intel instance. Moreover, MySQL bulk insert performance is also stronger on the AMD instance with 238318.6 transactions per second (tps) compared to the Intel's 117769.09 tps. For applications demanding high CPU throughput and low latency for database operations, the AMD instance is the better choice.
