My friend, I'm so glad you're here! Today I spun up fresh instances from DigitalOcean and Vultr and ran some benchmarks. Each instance was running Ubuntu 26.04 LTS x64 and all resided in or around the New York / New Jersey area. Enough talk. Here's the data.

Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
The Vultr High Performance AMD instance outpaces the DigitalOcean Regular (1 GB) in key benchmarks. For instance, Redis' LPUSH achieves 48,923.68 requests per second (rps) with an average latency of 0.634 ms on Vultr, compared to 26,709.4 rps and 1.177 ms on DigitalOcean. In CPU benchmark events per second, Vultr scores 4,293.15, significantly higher than DigitalOcean's 843.27. This performance edge makes Vultr more suitable for CPU-intensive and I/O-heavy tasks, whereas DigitalOcean might be preferable for lower budget but sufficient headroom needs.
