DigitalOcean Regular (1 GB) vs. Vultr High Frequency Intel (2 GB)
My friend, I'm so glad you're here! Today I spun up fresh instances from DigitalOcean and Vultr and ran some benchmarks. Each instance was running Ubuntu 26.04 LTS x64 and were created in or around the New York / New Jersey area. Enough talk. Here's the data.

Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
The Vultr High Frequency Intel (2 GB) instance outperforms the DigitalOcean Regular (1 GB) instance in most benchmarks, notably in Redis operations where it achieves significantly higher requests per second (rps) and lower latency across various tests, and in MySQL bulk insert operations which it completes at a much higher transactions per second (tps) rate. For use cases requiring high throughput and low latency, especially for CPU-intensive tasks and heavy database interactions, the Vultr instance provides superior performance.
