My friend, I'm so glad you're here! Today I've got brand new instances from Linode and Vultr to run some benchmarks on. All instances were running Ubuntu 26.04 LTS x64 and were created in or around the New York / New Jersey area. Without further ado, here's the results.

Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
The Vultr High Performance Intel (2 GB) instance outperforms the Linode (2 GB) in overall benchmarks, particularly in Redis operations, with a peak rps of 44563.28 for PING_INLINE compared to Linode's 18789.93. While Linode excels in file I/O operations with higher read and write throughput, Vultr's CPU benchmarks, including bulk insert TPS of 119731.62, highlight its superior performance for CPU-intensive tasks, making it a better choice for CPU-heavy applications.
