New day, new benchmarks. Today I spun up fresh instances from Vultr to run some benchmarks on. Each instance was spun up with Ubuntu 26.04 LTS x64 and were created in the New York area (or close to it). Enough talk. Here's the data.

Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
The Vultr High Performance Intel (1 GB) instance outperforms the Vultr Cloud Compute (1 GB) instance in most benchmarks, particularly in Redis operations where it achieves significantly higher requests per second (e.g., 70472.16 vs 33288.95 for PING_INLINE) and lower latency averages, as well as in MySQL bulk insert throughput (133394.61 TPS vs 92501.24 TPS). While both instances perform similarly in file I/O operations, the High Performance Intel variant provides superior CPU performance and better overall throughput, making it ideal for CPU-heavy and high-transaction workloads.
