Welcome to another round of the VPS Showdown. Today I spun up fresh instances from Vultr and ran my world famous suite of benchmarking scripts. All instances were spun up with Ubuntu 26.04 LTS x64 and were created in the New York area (or close to it). Let's get into the numbers.

Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
The High Performance Intel (1 GB) instance from Vultr performs significantly better across most benchmarks compared to the Cloud Compute (2 GB) instance, particularly in CPU performance and Redis operations where it achieves higher requests per second (e.g., Redis SET rps: 73909.83 vs 32237.27) and lower latencies. The High Performance instance also excels in MySQL bulk inserts with a higher throughput (tps: 133394.61 vs 68808.93). Therefore, the High Performance Intel (1 GB) instance is recommended for CPU-intensive and high-throughput use cases, despite having less RAM.
