Vultr High Performance AMD (1 GB) vs. Vultr High Performance Intel (1 GB)
Same showdown, different day. Today I spun up fresh instances from Vultr and ran my world famous suite of benchmarking scripts. All instances were running Ubuntu 26.04 LTS x64 and were created in or around the New York / New Jersey area. Without further ado, here's the results.

Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
The Vultr High Performance AMD instance narrowly edges out the Vultr High Performance Intel instance across key benchmarks. Notably, the AMD instance performs significantly better in Redis operations, such as the LRANGE benchmark that sees 47,732 RPS compared to the Intel's 12,192 RPS, and has lower latency in most Redis commands. The AMD also leads in CPU performance with 42,633 events per second against Intel's 10,496. This suggests the AMD instance is better suited for CPU-intensive applications, while the Intel variant, despite strong throughput, shows poorer performance in complex data handling tasks and should be considered for more read/write-heavy workloads.
