New day, new benchmarks. Today I've spun up brand new instance from DigitalOcean and Linode to run some benchmarks on. All instances were spun up with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS x64 and were created in the New York area (or close to it). Without further ado, here's the results.

Conclusion

From the friendly robots:

The DigitalOcean Premium AMD (2 GB) instance provides solid performance for Redis operations, delivering high request rates and low latency, particularly for simple commands like SET and GET, while also handling more complex operations like LRANGE well but with increased latency. It shows comparable CPU performance and file I/O efficiency with robust memory handling. In contrast, the Linode Nanode (1 GB) instance, powered by a higher clock speed AMD processor, demonstrates exceptional Redis performance with extremely high request rates and low latencies, although it shows slightly lower file I/O performance and memory throughput than the DigitalOcean instance. The Linode instance might be better suited for high-traffic, low-latency Redis applications, while the DigitalOcean instance offers a balanced performance profile that is particularly useful for workloads requiring strong file I/O and memory handling capabilities.
