Fresh benchmarks coming at ya. Today I spun up fresh instances from Linode and Vultr and ran some benchmarks. Each instance was running Ubuntu 26.04 LTS x64 and were created in the New York area (or close to it). Enough talk. Here's the data.

Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
Linode's Nanode outperforms Vultr's High Performance Intel in both Redis benchmarks and MySQL operations. Linode's instance achieves significantly higher requests per second (rps) and lower latencies across various Redis commands, with notable results such as 85,324.23 rps for PING_INLINE and 132,294.72 tps for MySQL bulk inserts. These superior performance metrics make Linode's instance ideal for CPU-heavy and I/O-intensive tasks, whereas Vultr's offers slightly better throughput but lags in overall responsiveness and transactional speed.
