Fresh benchmarks coming at ya. Today I spun up fresh instances from Vultr and ran some benchmarks. Each instance was spun up with Ubuntu 26.04 LTS x64 and were created in or around the New York / New Jersey area. Let's get into the numbers.

Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
The High Performance AMD (2 GB) instance from Vultr outperforms the Cloud Compute (1 GB) in most benchmarks, especially in CPU operations with a higher events_per_second of 4293 vs 704, and in memory operations with higher throughput rates. The AMD instance also excels in database operations, achieving significantly higher TPS for bulk insert and OLTP tasks. The decisive factor is the substantially higher CPU performance, which is critical for CPU-intensive workloads, making the AMD instance the better choice for high-performance, compute-heavy applications, despite the Cloud Compute instance being more budget-friendly.
