Same showdown, different day. Today I've got brand new instances from Linode and Vultr and ran some benchmarks. All instances were running Ubuntu 26.04 LTS x64 and were created in or around the New York / New Jersey area. Let's get into the numbers.

Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
The Vultr High Frequency Intel instance outperforms the Linode Nanode in most benchmarks, especially in Redis operations with significantly higher requests per second (rps) and lower latencies. The Vultr instance shows a clear edge in Redis GET rps at 54288.82 compared to Linode's 38804.81, making it more suitable for applications requiring high throughput and low latency. For CPU-heavy tasks and general use cases where higher performance is critical, the Vultr instance is the better choice due to its superior benchmarks.
