My friend, I'm so glad you're here! Today I spun up fresh instances from Linode and Vultr and ran some benchmarks. Each instance was running Ubuntu 26.04 LTS x64 and all resided in or around the New York / New Jersey area. Without further ado, here's the results.

Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
Based on the benchmark results, the Vultr High Performance AMD (1 GB) instance outperforms the Linode (2 GB) in terms of Redis operations per second (rps), with notable high scores like 48076.93 rps for LPUSH and 47415.84 rps for PING_INLINE, demonstrating superior handling of concurrent requests. While the Linode instance excels in file I/O throughput and memory operations, Vultr’s superior CPU benchmarks and lower latencies suggest it is more suited for CPU-intensive tasks and low-latency requirements, whereas the Linode instance would be preferable for use-cases requiring high file I/O and memory performance.
