Fresh benchmarks coming at ya. Today I've got brand new instances from Linode and Vultr and ran some benchmarks. All instances were running Ubuntu 26.04 LTS x64 and were created in the New York area (or close to it). Time to see who showed up today.

Conclusion
From the friendly robots:
The Linode instance wins overall due to superior performance in CPU benchmarks, particularly in Redis SET commands with 76,923.08 requests per second (rps) compared to Vultr's 48,309.18 rps, and MySQL bulk inserts at 127,606.24 tps vs Vultr's 235,298.19 tps. For workloads that require high CPU and memory throughput, such as CPU-intensive applications or memory-heavy databases, Linode is the better choice.
